Scratch Bruce James from Candidates Lists says Jane Ann
Prominent Republican Bruce James who made millions in publishing; who served 4 years as head of the U.S. Government Printing Office; and who was an eager challenger to Harry Reid in 1998 (until he withdrew to support John Ensign) has moved from D.C. back home to Crystal Bay prompting many to speculate that he would again challenge Reid or that he’d run for Governor in 2010.
However, after an in-depth discussion with him, LVRJ Columnist Jane Ann Morrison is convinced he won’t be running for any public office. “Well, strike another name from the list of prominent Republicans who might be enticed into running against U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid,” she says on her blog Jane Ann goes on to suggest that James wouldn’t challenge Gov. Jim Gibbons, who named him to chair the Spending and Government Efficiency (SAGE) Commission and wouldn’t even run if Gibbons doesn’t.
